Let’s take an in-depth look at some of the most important, powerful and impressive features of the modern Wolf ranges by series. We will start with Gas Ranges and continue onto Dual Fuel Ranges and finish with Induction Ranges. Since many features overlap among these 3 series we will spend mosf of the time on the Gas ranges to cover all common features and indicate the difference when we arrive to the next series.

The Wolf Gas Range

The Wolf gas range is the staple of appliances family and the best high-end stove in the market. Apart from its professional look, the following features distinguish this gas stove from its competition:

Each Wolf range features porcelain coated cast-iron grates that sit on tiny silicon feet to prevent scratching. Grates are arranged in a continuous formation to allow you to slide pots and pans off and onto heat while cooking.

A dependable spark ignition system controls each burner individually. This means that only the burner you want to use will spark, which eliminates a common issue in other gas ranges of the irritating clicking sound. Additionally, the spark ignition system re-ignites the burner if the flame goes out, ensuring safety and convenience.

Iconic Red Knobs
Those can’t-miss red knobs are not just a style statement—they also offer infinite controls from simmer to high-BTU operation. Wolf also offers the option of configuring the knobs in black or stainless steel.

Wolf Iconic Red Knobs

Powerful Dual Stacked Sealed Burners with Precise Flame Controls
Wolf kitchen stove burners are legendary for their performance. You’ll love the sealed burner system which makes cleaning small areas super easy. All Wolf ranges feature a 9,200 BTU burner for smaller sized pots. Depending on the model you choose, you can also enjoy 15,000 to 20,000 BTU burners. When it comes to simmering, you’ll find all Wolf burners are dual stacked and come with a super low simmer ability, as little as 300 BTUs. That level of precision, from the low simmer to the infinite customizability of flame size and heat, is truly what sets Wolf ranges apart from the rest.

Wolf sealed burners are powerful yet they are easy to clean.

Wolf Charbroil Grill
Looking to BBQ but snow or rain makes outdoor grilling a non-starter? The Wolf charbroiler grill features a 16,000 BTU infrared burner specifically designed to emit intense heat for grilling. This allows you to sear the outer edges of your food and seal-in that juicy flavor. It’s recommended that you cook food directly on the charbroiler grate without cookware, allowing for that authentic grill-seared experience. In order to regulate indirect heat variables, you can even use the blank-off plate provided with your Wolf range. This amazing performance tool requires a quick 10-minute pre-heat time.

The one-of-a-kind charbroiler grill option sets Wolf apart from the pack once more, as every other brand but Miele uses a standard electric grill that can be found in oven broilers.

The high end Wolf ranges with a griddle feature 15,000 BTU of infrared power. The griddle is thermostatically controlled to maintain consistent temperatures throughout the entire surface. Want that double-griddle action? Wolf has you covered, allowing you to reach 30,000 BTUs of cooking power. And once you season your griddle, it will be good to go for years to come.

French Top
A French top is a circular cooking surface with 15,000 BTUs of power, featuring multiple heat-zones from low to high. The highest temperature is found under the center plate, while the areas closer to the edge are lower. Many consumers believe the French top is meant to be used as a griddle, but it’s actually designed to be used with cookware.

Wolf Range Ovens

Design and Power Combined
Wolf’s signature design aesthetic, featuring cobalt blue porcelain to create a beautiful cooking backdrop in the oven interior, is second to none. But it’s not just about looks—you’ll also notice the ultra-fast preheat time on Wolf machines thanks to intense infrared heat. Meanwhile, the oven boasts a 30,000 BTU bake and 18,000 BTU infrared broil feature. That’s a whole lot of power in your oven.

Large Oven Cavity
Even on Wolf’s 30” ovens, the large interior is a hallmark feature. You can easily handle any sized Thanksgiving turkey in any Wolf machine. Need to feed an army? Spring for the 36” range with a supersized, 5.5 cubic ft. oven. You’ll have more cooking space than you know what to do with.

Twin Convection for Even Temperature Distribution
Not only do dual blowers circulate heat, but even the convection oven fan motor has an independent temperature sensor to allow the motor to kick on anytime its needed to provide even temperatures in the oven cavity. Many competitors have dual fans, but none offer independent temperature controls. Wolf leads the pack once more.

Soft Motion Door for Safety
The exclusive Wolf spring and damper door system prevents the door from snapping closed or opening abruptly.

  • Faster boil results
  • Super low simmer temperature (i.e. you will not scorch your sauces. Our favorite live display in our showroom is to keep chocholate in melted state for hours.)
  • Technology that senses pan/pot size so no heat is wasted and energy is transferred to the cooking vessel exactly at the touch points
  • Safe – induction burners are cool to the touch

Wolf introduced induction ranges in 2016. It is the only brand with a 36″ induction range option.

Are all burners the same on Wolf ranges?

Many people would like to see a variety of burners on their cooking surface to match their pot/pan size. We noticed that some pro-ranges come with same size and super powerful burners. While it is nice to have the power, the downside is when using smaller pots and pans you will inevitably melt handles of your cookware.

Wolf ranges always include a smaller burner on their cooking surface. In addition, all gas ranges have 15K BTU burners. However, dual fuel ranges feature a combination of 15K, 18K and 20K BTU burners.
